Representing the 3rd and 4th generations of Camano Islanders, Don and his sons have deep roots, tracing back to their grandparents' move from Montana to Camano Island in the early 1900s. After years of painting for friends and family, Don ventured into painting contracting in 1989. DG Hopkins Painting swiftly rose as a leading island company, addressing diverse painting needs. Recognizing the local weather's impact on homes, we expanded to include Handy Person Services.
Now, with Don's wife Nancy and son Ben at the helm, the company has transitioned into DG Hopkins Painting LLC, proudly certified as a women-owned business in Washington State. This certification reflects our dedication to excellence as we continue to serve our community with the same quality and care.

You are Camano Island treasures, as is the memory of my "Monkey Lady" mom and the work ethic she instilled in me while growing up on our mini farm.

Don and his crew did an exceptional job painting the interior of our home. The prior paint job when we moved in was horrible -- three independent contractors informed me it was the singular worst paint job on a custom home they'd ever laid eyes on.
I can tell Don and his crew spent a LOT of time removing old paint on floors, window casings and other places it should have never been. I wholeheatedly recommend D.G. Hopkins Painting..so glad I chose this company!
